lost power during format, now BSOD 0x0000020 when trying to install xp

    this is for a friend, he said he was trying to install xp and in the process of formatting when the power went out, he tried to start all over and when its about to format he gets the blue screen 0x0000020 error

    now what?

    Put the HDD in a different PC and try to format it.

    If this fails, then do a single pass wipe with Kill Disk.

    That will clear out whatever is hanging it up.
