Yup, forgot I had it in my pocket until it was too late. I have a feeling that it never found it's way into the confiscated box, since 5 minutes after they took it (I had to put my shoes back on) the guy was still playing with it. Oh well, I'd rather they were diligent and me lose my carry than have them letting people on with dangerous objects.

Got a non-serrated black on black Kershaw Blur on order :) Wanted the Bump, but limited number made = WAY overpriced for a carry.

well its good to see that they are doing thier job. What exactly are the rules on plane carry? Is there a certain blade length that is allowed?

You can't carry a knife period onboard an aircraft anymore. Just like you can't carry nail files, nail clippers, scissors, etc.

NOTHING even remotely sharp or hard or metal or anything really. Try to get on carrying a spoon in your pocket and I'm sure they'll snatch it up. Even that tiny Swiss Army knife that lots have on their keychains is a no-no now.

And to think about 8 years ago, I came back from Cancun with a switchblade in my pocket -- I even flipped it open and closed so many times while in flight that I broke the cheap POS.

    Anyhow, times have changed...

Oh, and Mojo, don't feel so bad, I lost a Benchmade Mel Pardue 755SBT while working at Lowe's a while back; I had had the knife about a week and it was an aniversary present from the wife...OUCH!

Like there aren't better weapons already on the plane.

Don't get me started on TSA. :squint:

Ya, I think they did finally remove them. I worked at DFW airport as security for a few months in early 2002 and we had to take them if they had the tiny little nail file on them, but they were ok if they didn't have the file lol  My thoughts always were if you let yourself get hijacked by someone with a nail file, you deserved to be hijacked lol
