So I recently moved into a new house and during the move-in process I had my shit spread out over 3 different houses and some how in the whole ordeal my Canon 10-22 was either lost or stolen. :wtc:

What other wide angles out there compare to it in terms of quality? I don't mind paying for another 10-22 (as soon as I can) but I figure if I'm buying another wide angle I might as well see if there's anything on the market that mo' bettah.

    Anyone? :hs:

Tokina 11-16 f2.8 is really the best UWA lens out there for crop bodies. The The Tokina 12-24 f4 is great, too, if you need a bit more reach. These two are a better buy in nearly every way compared to the Canon or the Sigma for that matter.

There's something I forgot... I rock a 20D now but hopefully sometime this year I'll jump to a 5D so a used 16-35 is on my list as "the choice" for sure.

I'd still like to hear about the crop lenses too though, just in case. :)

I have the sigma 10-20. Love it. Have not tried the Tokina yet though.

I've heard the 16-35 is a bit soft and is in the process of being replaced with the II version. :dunno:

I had the Sigma and it did the job, but everyone here drools over the Tokina, so it might be worth a shot.

Depends on the price... It'd have to be cheaper than the 11-16 at this point. :)
