Makes perfect sense and is basically what Dana has been saying all along except Lorenzo does it without having to drop any f bombs.

But I still think the Fertittas trying to make UFC a monopoly in MMA is just ridiculous.

Give Fedor the contract, but let him do his Sambo thing in Russia. It's a niche audience anyway - this isn't going to steal fans away from the UFC. Don't see what's the big deal. :dunno:

i hope they sign him, feed him to lesnar right away, no warm up fights or nothing. let him feel the pain.

i honestly don't see fedor beating him. actually, the fight would end very similiar to how mir ended up tonight. brock laying on him with all 280 pounds, and just unloading power punches until the referee steps in and saves him.

I want to see that fight, regardless of who wins. I want to see the best fight the best.

I remember watching an interview where Dana said the main issue they have is they don't want their athletes getting injured doing these other events (which makes sense if you think about it)

I'd rather see a bunch of great fighters in one org than a bunch of fighters scattered across several different ones and never see the top fighters face each other.

i think having them fragmented makes things more interesting, cause we can always imagine what will happen between promotion. I think it just makes things more exciting

It's the same reason basketball players have "No pick-up games" written into their contracts. Almost all big-money professional athletes aren't allowed to do anything that could get them injured. The UFC doing it just means they are ahead of the curve and doing their part to get the sport mainstream.

yeah, Fedor hasn't beaten anyone as good as brock lesnar i guess.

take your pick, there are better strikers than Brock, there are bigger men than brock, there are great wrestlers etc etc.

how many big fights would Fedor have to win before you would say he has fought people at brocks level?

i was referring to their level as far as size and your lay n pray comment. even mark hunt didn't have lesnar's size...and he sure as hell doesn't have lesnar's ground control. neither does coleman. coleman took fedor down in both fights. fat linland would have also had fedor down if he didn't grab the ropes. i just feel lesnar will take it to the ground and control it the exact same way with mir without giving fedor space. i dont even like saying it...but lesnar has the upper hand in my mind.
