loosing weight

    before my 2 kids i was a size 7 in pants i am 5'8 and i was 138

    Now i am a size 9 and a 147.. i would like to get back to my normal weight because my son is now turning 1 :eek3: can i do this by doing the fat burning videos at home (cant take kids to gym.. husband sleep all day works all night) and eating more fiber + cutting out some junk? i eat some what healthy i hate salads but i dont over eat.. advice?

    Ps dont flame.

    do 30-45 minutes of cardio 3-4 days a week and eat right. search around the forums for a good workout routine. you're not gonna get "bulky", don't worry.

    if you can't go to the gym or work out, try tweaking your diet and see how that works for you... eat more frequent, smaller meals. cutting out junk food is a good start, too... try not to take in too much sugar

    also, if you can't go outside to do cardio, maybe invest in a piece of at-home equipment (treadmill, stationary bike, elliptical runner, etc.)

    count calories. figure calories needed to maintain your weight. eat 500 less than maintenance daily. drink water. do not rely on "fat burners"; most of them are garbage.

    invest in a treadmill and use it. invest in an adjustable dumb bell set (i started with a 40 lb set from wal mart for $30) and use it. if you can't spare the money for a treadmill, find time to run outside. regardless what everyone here thinks of cardio, i have seen great results with it personally and wouldnt hesitate to recommend it.

    i wish all i had to worry about was 9 lbs :o

    I think it would be wise to invest in some simple weights. I'm assuming by lose weight you mean you want to lose body fat, I don't know how it works for women, but if you're just going off a caloric deficit, you'll be loosing weight, but it all won't be fat. You're weight will go down but you'll be loosing a lot of muscle. If you do some simple strength training, DB exercises, you'll maintain you're muscle and more of the weight you loose will be fat.

    Edit - Oh yeah, and you won't get bulky lifting weights.

    If you can't really work out I suggest cutting all sugar out of your diet and all soda. Eat small meals throughout the day and no cheating for the first month or so.

    Put your kids in a stroller and at least walk four times a week just to get moving.

    We get out of the house alot.. like running around and playing out side.. i just cant get to the gym :\ we jump on the trampolene and play tag and airplane and stuff..i would say we are outside for a good 5 hours a day unless the kids are sick or its raining

    The cutting the sugar out sounds like a good idea.. but isnt sugar hidden and stuff or are you talking about the obvious sugars?

    eat from 1450-1600 callories a day try for anywhere from 150 to 200g protein a day and fill the rest with filling foods. do this for two weeks, weigh yourself after two weeks. If you have lost weight, keep doing the same, if you have not, report back.

    First of of all.. your little post has nothing to help in any way and has NOTHING to add to my thread other then bad fellowship..

    2nd.. We are not haveing anymore kids we have stoped with two.. We eat pretty well im not obease and i look better then most women with kids weight wise.. I DID read the stickies.. I was asking if the FATBURNING Videos that you can buy and eatting more fiber would help me loose weight.
