I've recently started working out again, and after a month of serious gym work I'm starting to feel like I'm losing grip strength...Every now and then my hands just start to ache, and when I'm on my computer at work my hand will lock up on the mouse...:hs:

Is this normal or indicative that I'm doing something wrong? I haven't really increased my weights dramatically, however I have shifted to more free weight work instead of machines...

Did your grip change coincide with your movement from machines to free weights? The problem may not be that your strength decreased, free weights require considerable more effort to hold by themselves. It would be normal for you to feel weakened.

Also, is this a constant feeling, from start to finish of your workout? I know my grip fatigues towards the end of my session, especially if I have been doing a lot of forearm work.
