i hope they do militech vs. newton 2
half the guys on the show would beat them, wtf
this is the best they could come up with?
Well... pat is a good coach... he runs miletech fighting systems right? And Newton beat him? so why wouldn't they both be good for the show?
The way I see it, they don't necessarily have to currently be good fighters, as long as they can produce the best fighters by passing down their knowledge/training tips.
I wish they would use Bas Rutten, he cracks me up
bas rutten and frank shamrock ftw. then they fight each other
i dont see any problem with this just because they werent the greatest of fighters does not mean they are not great coaches. and thats what they are there to do. coach.
yeah, i read that too, and i'd like them as coaches. i don't know too much about ronin, but he's pretty damn technical on the mat and is pretty accomplished. militech is definitely a good choice though
saw this on sherdog, supposedly it's Ken and Tito who they're trying to get as coaches for the 3rd season:
"MMAWeekly.com's Scott Petersen is reporting from Las Vegas at this hour that Tito has agreed to the deal, however they are still trying to work out the deal with Ken Shamrock this afternoon. The only potential stumbling block according to completiting this deal is if Shamrock would ever be able to fight in Japan. Ken wants the rematch at Sakuraba after the Ortiz fight and wants the ability to fight both fighters in back to back fights."
I can't get to the MMAweekly forum though to read anything about it. Hopefully it's a big announcement tonight.
Looks like this will be a really interesting season.
I would want Militech in my corner any day
Tito and Shamrock are the coaches. Dana announced it between fights. They almost went at it in the ring. BJ Penn is officially back, too. Chuck vs Randy III is announced, and Frank Mir is back. He will face Arlovski for the belt in early 2006.
you serious?!? there were rumors that Tito signed on again with the UFC, but Tito's team said that he's officially with the WFA. i'm surprised that the UFC even kept relations with Tito cordial, seeing how they left it...
and i thought that BJ Penn couldn't shake his K1 contract. how'd he get around that?
All this 'smack' promoting is because the UFC is way behind Pride. If it was'nt for Hughes division they would be half finished
Tito is supposed to fight Forrest Griffin for his first fight back
I hope Tito destroys Forrest
Another Pride nuthugger appears
oh man, wtf....guess that website is going to have to change their info.
the 170lb division is pretty deep...
i'm a pride nuthugger too, but i'll recognize good fighters anywhere. the 170lb division is pretty fucking competitive
I'm so glad that Tito and Shamrock are coaches. The editors are gonna have a good time spicin it up for us too.
Their little confrontation last night looked staged
agreed, but shammy actually does hate titty
it all seems pretty fake to me
Tito making the comment about Forrest before
All the stuff he said about the UFC
