My grandma used to be a teacher there and gets a pretty good government pension, but she can't bring the money over to Canada so it just piles up in a bank account.

She also doesn't like traveling alone, and it's been a while since she's gone back, so she said the money's fair game for any grandkid who escorts her.

I plan to visit Vaish Tailors in New Delhi and overhaul my wardrobe with some proper bespoke styles

Probably can get ~6 suits, and another ~12 pairs of trousers from them for about $4k (seems like $500 per suit and $80 per pair of trousers will get me into some very high quality materials)

Then a trip to Maharaja's in Mumbai will get me ~50 bespoke shirts for not much more than $1k.

4 weeks seeing the sites in India, spending time with my grandma which I never get to do, and coming back with a full closet of some proper fiting style all for the cost of airfare - sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me :bigthumb:

How did you find out where the hot tailors are? That sounds like a good idea, I've been wanting to go india, but getting like a whole wardrobe of expensive suits while there sounds even better :)
