    Hey everyone,

I am pretty computer savvy but have been out of the loop lately in regards to good and price-friendly laptops. I was thinking about purchasing a Sony Vaio TR series laptop or one that is very similiar. I am looking for something compact but at the same time very good and reliable. I would appreciate if you guys could fill me in on what you think would be the best laptop to purchase at this time.

My pricerange is anywhere from $2000 - $3000. Give or take a few hundred.

    All comments are greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

Dell Inspiron 300m, super mobile and I'm pretty sure it's fully supported under FreeBSD except for the wireless card :rant2:

IBM X Series Don't know much about it but a buddy loves his.
