I have 3 harddrives on my computer. 1 of which is not doing so well. I'd like to be able to allow the 2 that just store data to 'shut down' and be awakened when necessary. I don't see an option for that in windows. Is there a program that does that?

    Thanks

Control panel > display properties > screen saver > power settings >

In the "Turn off hard disks" window, you can set it for how soon they go into sleep mode after inactivity.

The two drives will hibernate even when the main drive is being used.

Ok, I'm hearing the HD's power down when they are sopposed to but they spin up at odd times. Is there someway to determine what program is running that would be 'calling' to these hd's.
