Here's the story: I'm a senior in HS now, planning on doing Navy ROTC, then hopefully getting into the SEALS. Last May, I dislocated my neck, fucked it up pretty bad, had to get artho to have some bone chips removed, about 2 months of drooling. Dislocated again in June, and last week, I felt it pop out of place (not totally to the side like the last two times, but still about 1.5 - 2 inches out of place). My parents worry that with my shitty motor skills, I have no chance of getting into the SEALS, and that chances of any other major combat unit would be unwilling accept me, and that my only chances in the military are with some desk job. How much would this being totally paralyzed problem effect my chances in the military? And keep in mind I still have 4 years of college to go through first, which I feel would be plenty of time to get my body back into the shape it used to be.
