    Just looking to get a cheap, but not shitty setup so that I can play around and stay within my means... Already have a CyberSync setup, just looking to get a single off-shoe flash going since my 430EX doesn't have the appropriate plugs...:o

    why not just get a pc->hotshoe adapter for $10 instead of a whole new flash. or get 2 stands, 2 umbrellas, 2 holders, the 285, and the adapter. :o

    The Vivitar's price is the deciding factor for me... plus I'm a tad OCD so I'd like my off-shoes to be the same, not a Canon/Vivitar mix :hsugh:

    My budget sucks right now so I figure I can add other Vivitars for cheaper than other 430s...

    if your budget is that tight, just get the pc->hotshoe adapter and save $75 :o

    Also, I mainly shoot cars for fun, dabble in weddings and I'm sure I'll holler at portraits soon enough.

    it folds down to 19" long, the one you posted folds down to 29" :o
