Hey everyone I am looking to buy a laptop but my budget is limited. I am a student and have been doing some research on them. I currently have $750 in my paypal and dont really want to spend much more unless you really think I should. I don't really want one thats bigger than a 15" screen. I found the averatec computers but didnt know if they were too cheap of quality. Also I am hoping to get away from celerons. Let me know what you think. THanks in advance

you can get a celeron...but you will kick yourself a week after you get it.

i've you want something that holds its value and is worth the price, get a 12" ibook, you should be able to find one around $800

what do you need the laptop for? I recommend the 12" ibook for general internet use, email, word processing...

i'd say that most people have no problem with a mac at all. i don't. my friends dad who is a total newbie when it comes to computers has no problem with it either. i'm not quite sure what would be hard about using a mac compared to windows

12" ibook runs about $900 with a student discount I believe. Go for that one.

way to back up your statement with details. OSX can do anything XP can do, however certain industry's such as Gaming dont find it economical to produce software for OSX.
