I'm located in the Seattle area and am considering buying a 90-93 Fox body Mustang in the next few months. I've already checked out the classifieds on corral.net and there's nothing for sale in a 3 state radius. I checked autotrader and found a few possibles, but mostly convertibles and automatics (i'd prefer a 5spd hatch or notch). Checked the Seattle Times but didn't find much there either. I figured since there are a bunch of Mustang owners on here, i'd see if there are any really good classifieds that i'm forgetting. If i can't find anything that really stirs me in the next month or so i'll just hold onto my cash and see what's available at the yearly Mustang/Ford show in July.

My ex-friend is selling his 88 notchback lx for 5500. Great condition, completely stock with ~160G miles on it. But 88 is completely different from the 90.

Thanks for the offer, but for the same price i can get a one owner '92 with <50K miles.

I'd buy an '89 but not an '88 unless it was a California MAF car. Also prefer 92 or earlier since the '93 model didn't get forged pistons. I'd buy a '93 under the right circumstances, but would prefer a forged car. So, i guess i should have said "89 - 92" instead of "90-93".

They're not plentiful, but they're out there. I was going to buy one two weeks ago but didn't have the cash yet. Finally sold my motorcycle and went back for the car but it was gone. Red on grey one owner LX hatch with under 50K miles and they were asking $6000. Almost bone stock and in very good shape. If i'd been able to sell my bike a week or two earlier, i'd own that car right now.

I've found a lot of convertibles with <100K miles and in decent shape for ~$5000-5500, but i don't want a 'vert. There are a lot of cars out there, but i'm picky. I don't want a convertible, i don't want an automatic, and i don't want a porno-red interior. That thins the herd quite a bit. :)
