I've been listening to a lot of metal lately in the vein of He is Legend, Protest the Hero, Every Time I Die, Mastodon, etc. and I'm looking to expand the repetoire. So, anyone have any suggestions? Figured this would be a good place to ask. Preferably under the radar stuff, but hey, anything will be good for me. Leave a name and a description of the sound.

    Thanks in advance!

Good music in general is welcome, and I'm always open to suggestions. I've been listening to a lot of indie stuff lately, besides the metal, but metal specifically is what I was looking to find new music in.

Awesome suggestions. I haven't listened to As I Lay Dying in a while, I'm sure they've put out new stuff since I last checked. I'm downloading a few of the suggestions now, and I'll be checking most of them out post midterm. Gotta see what Alabama Thunderpussy is all about. So far, an awesome list of metal. Thanks!

    Any more?

How about branching out into some hardcore/metalcore... darkest hour, comeback kid, on broken wings, evergreen terrace, killswitch engage, alexisonfire... I'm not really into metal that much but these bands aren't really far off it.
