Need something bigger than my A3 and I think the 4Runner is the choice. Drove the Pathfinder and Pilot and didn't really care for either. Drove a 05 4Runner and was quite impressed. Anyway, Toyota has a $2000 cash incentive or 0% financing on 2007 models. I was originally looking at an 05 or 06 base SR5 V6 model, but all the ones I have found have been higher milage. Any opinions on this truck?

What sort of info are you looking for? They'll run forever and go just about anywhere. Its the same chassis and suspension as the FJ Cruiser though minus any options of a rear locker from the factory.

For a daily driver that is not going offroad, I would recommend the pathfinder. The engine is spectacular!

The 4runner is better offroad, however. Get the v8!

I drove the Pathfinder, but the interior seemed so cheap.

My bro bought a 4 runner with the V6. And it actually had some nutsack to it. I dont think the V8 has that much more power.

The V8 has been reported to not be as reliable as the V6 has been.

Not sure where you heard that?

My 04 Limited V8 has been great, I love it. Lots of power, you step on it and it goes.

Yea, I have a 2UZ-FE in my Tundra, and it's a good motor.

The 1GR-FE isn't neccessarily bad, but it's not great. They have some valve-train issues, manifold issues, etc. Long-term reliability is highly questionable, imo. It puts out more power than the 5VZ-FE that it replaced, but from a "stoutness" perspective, I think the 5VZ-FE was a much better motor.

The 40VQ-DE motor in the Pathfinder is easily the best motor in it's class.

Majority of the 4Runner and 120 forums I frequent. Not that its a bad motor, I love the motor. The torque is awesome. I'm just conveying what I've read.

get the FJ! Its a very comfortable truck with a powerful motor. I have the 6 speed and it shifts nice and smooth. I'm sure you can find a used 07 in your price range.

the FJ is a rediculous vehicle that should never have been produced. It has a weak excuse for a back seat, and it's 1GR-FE V6 disrespects the 5VZ-FE that it replaced.
