What kind of deal do you think I could get? Under MSRP? Aren't the 2005's coming out real soon?
Don't do it!
vdub = lose
The next gen GTi's are going to be soooooo much better.
When do they come out?
Overweight, underpowered, handles like Roseanne Bar on a toboggan. Interior is nice, but doesn't stay together very well. Reliability is also very questionable.
Add customer service at deaer sucks and its messican made.
The Golf GTI is actually made in Brazil or Germany. Usually Brazil. The USDM Jetta, and the Beetle, are made in Mexico.
That having been said, the quality doesn't vary much from country to country, the robots don't care what the boss eats.
I would get a cooper over a 1.8T GTI,
The Mini is a really neat car... but it kinda seems like the interior was a bit overdone.
I like it.
I just picked up an 01 GTi 1.8t last night. First things first the car is underpowered, may chip it though. Engine is extremely quiet and it annoys the shit out of me, its like driving a toyota camry. Clutch feel... there isnt much, very light clutch not a sport feel. Handling is so so, unfortunately I have the 15" base wheels on mine. Interior is nice, stereo is very good (got the monsoon system).
You are making wrong choice.
Mini is cool. What do they go for?
IIRC: cost more handles better.
S Styles (MSRP: $20,449)
1.8T Styles (MSRP: $19,825 - $20,900)
it'll only be my toy for about 1-2 months then time to sell. Ahh the beauty of being in the car business lol
They aren't that bad.
