I'm looking for something wide... Mostly for landscapes and some city stuff.

I know the Canon 10-22 is quite good, but thats a bit above my price range.

    Suggestions/personal experiences with wide angles?

I have the canon and I love it, however if you cannot afford it I hear that the sigma is just as good. However that is depending that you get a good copy, from what I hear there is a few soft ones floating around so make sure you can return it and get a exchange if you get a dodge

contrast is great. pictures were sharpened even more in pp, but pretty sharp at 12mm straight out of the camera. this is on a 350d. it focuses so well too. the only flaw ive seen is some flaring from the sun.

I think he meant the $100 difference between the two.

i heard the best wide angle lens for canon cameras is the 10-22. i never tried the sigma or tokina versions but my canon 10-22 is amazing. i love it.
