I'm thinking speedfeed or sidesaddle + choate forend with short rail and a light mount.

The problem with speedfeeds as round holders is.... Shoulder the gun in the firing position. Then try to reach your "spare" ammo and load the gun. Can't do it 'eh? I can't remember what sidesaddle I use on my 870, Mesa Tactical? It's aluminum and seemed more substantial than the normal plastic one.

Other than that, practice with it, and put a light on it that's MADE for the shock abuse if you can afford it.

870,500,590 all do about the same IMO, it's all preference.

The thing that cracks me up is, he tries to be such a Glock fanboi towards ME when I currently own 4 of them and have way more experience behind one than he has.

the fucker has 1 Glock 22 that he plinks with, how the fuck does that work!??? rangerat, google searching armchair commando.

Ever heard the saying, goes something like. "beware of the man with only one gun, as he knows how to shoot it well"

Haven't seen that light, but if it's shotgun rated it should work just fine. No need for too much tacticool junk on there. Although mine's getting there. I also prefer a +1 w/ the 18" barrel as it balances better for me.

yeah, that's a cute saying if I was going to get in a gun fight with him. Not so applicable when someone is trying to leverage his infinite gun knowledge onto you.

Although the speedfeed is not ideal for loading while holding on target it does keep more ammo on the gun. It's not shown on my pic but I keep my 870 loaded hot 8+1 then have 6 in the side saddle, and 5 in a stock sock carrier. That gives my 20 shells. Thus if I had to grab the shotgun and get the hell away I have that ammo.

Now there are situations where you will want to reload while holding on target but in most cases you get behind cover, unmount the gun, load it as fast as you can, and get back on target.
