I need a dark pair of jeans to wear out at night. I'm looking at 7FAM and Diesel. the thing is, I'm not into the slim fit. I would prefer a looser cut with a maybe a bootcut. what styles should I be looking for?

not too much of a bootcut and not too loose either. great silhouette, imo.

How do the top ones fit? The thigh area looks kinda tight in other pics.

what's the deal with wearing slimmer fitting jeans that accentuate the body? why do you need loose jeans, what are you a rock climber or mchammer backup dancer? or worse, fat? =/

don't be afraid to look good.

I definitely don't like jeans that are skin tight either. I like a pair of jeans that are comfortable when I'm standing, walking or even sitting down...I like to call that "fitted". Anything baggier than that is a no-go.

you do realize that just because slim is in, doesn't mean that it looks good on everyone. you have to take into account body type. I'm only 5'6" and 135lbs but I've got a bit of a wider (not fat) upper body. pair that with a very slim fitting jean and you have a funny looking silhouette that isn't balanced top and bottom.

the jeans generally wear aren't too loose, but they are enough to give me a balanced look.

and who is to say that the way you dress "looks good?" some of the pics you guys post of your $250 selvege super slim fitting denim looks both hilarious and too feminine to me, nor are they looks I'd ever want to be seen in. just because it's made of high quality fabric, costs a bunch, and is the slim "in" style, doesn't automatically means it looks good.

I came here to post this. Best pair of jeans I've owned. Been breaking in my dry selvage for the past 8 months. One wash so far, looking great.
