Looking for some advice

    I have some questions but feel they will be best answered if I share some of my background info first:

    - had a child in '05
    - was 5'7 110lbs before this
    - weighed in at 176lbs the day of labor
    - shrunk down to 150lbs within days of giving birth
    - was taking diet pills (phentermine) for a month and got down to 130
    - stopped taking them (about 2 months) and went down to 110
    - within 3 months of this i was up to 135

    For the past two months I have been doing Pilates for 30minutes, 5 days a week. Eating 3 "healthy" meals a day (salads, organic foods). Taking Vitamins. Drinking a glass of milk, Mineral Water, Vitamin Water every day.

    I have not lost a single pound, I had assumed/was hoping that it was because I was gaining muscle and losing fat, but I have not gone down any clothing sizes. How do I know if I am indeed losing fat if my weight stays the same? How do I lose enough weight to fit back into my old clothing, without it being muscle mass?

    I thought about getting back on the diet pills, losing the weight, and starting the diet/exercising over. But are not sure if this is the right way to go about things because I am not actually overweight.

    Any suggestions?

    lift some weights and do some cardio

    What are some good cardio activities to try? I was thinking about going running every morning. But I assumed anything that kept your heartbeat up for 30min. Maybe I'm just really out of shape, but Pilates sure keeps mine up lol. Weights, I didn't really want to invest in those, but I do have some Pilates equipment that provides resistance.

    edit: Keep in mind I have a small child and are a single mother, so going to the gym and leaving him alone aren't all that possible for me.

    Just do anything - some running, some hiking, some jogging.
    Get a pair of pink dumbells and do a bit of working out.

    lol What does my ass have to do with me wanting to lose weight? Actually, I have been doing some things to try and firm up my butt, any advice for some at home exercises for that too?

    I had him when I was 19.

    Lots of buttsex.

    Or squats and deadlifts, but I'd recommend the former.

    rofl. The bf would love the first theory.

    I have been doing an excercise I was told by a friend to try, for butt and hamstring - laying on your back, putting your heels on a chair and lifting your pelvis. It has firmed up my hamstrings, but I haven't noticed if it helped the butt.

    I guess I'll start with the squats and work on the deadlifts when I purchase some weights.

    If that's you at 130lbs, don't lose any more weight (actually, put some weight on your ass!). What's your height?
