Hey guys. Anyone have any good high protein recipes that are about 500 calories per meal? The easier to cook the better. If I can cook large quantities at once that would be even better.

I do have a grill but it's kind of shitty, but I do have an oven.

I already eat alot of chicken breasts and beef, I just need a good way to incorporate them with veggies and carb sources into something that's easy to prepare.

Ahh, never thought about baked beans, that sounds nice and easy. Beats cooking brown rice all the time.

Geroge Forman with chicken titties and mrs. dash. protein check

Whatever greens you want in a salad with some almonds maybe use olive oil. fats check

sweet potatoes or brown rice. carbs check.

My favorite thing when bulking is chicken nachos, use chicken instead of beef for your meat and add a little more seasoning and it tastes pretty much the same.

    For CARBS:
Wrap a medium-sized sweet potato in microwavable saran wrap, poke holes with fork so it doesn't explode, microwave for 5 minutes.
    OR
Buy a rice cooker, and throw some brown rice in there. You could also buy microwavable brown rice.

    For GREENS:
Buy frozen green beans, spinach, broccoli, broccoli rabe, etc. Heat saucepan with olive oil, toss veggies with some salt/pepper - cook on medium heat for 3-5 minutes.
    OR
Buy frozen fruits (mangos, berries, bananas, etc.) + milk and/or yogurt + protein powder + spinach and blend. You won't be able to taste the spinach, but you'll get all the benefits.
    OR
Blend eggs with spinach and cook as you would scrambled eggs.

Fuck that. Who has time to wait 60min for a stupid potato.

    - Poke holes with fork
    - Wrap in damp papertowel
    - Put in microwave for 3min
    - ???
    - Profit with 57 minutes to spare

Doesn't taste "as" good as baked, but for the time saved who cares. Shit is still delicious.

The question is......... What tastes better?

A sweet potato that is baked for 60min, but has been sitting the fridge a couple days and need to be reheated anyway, or

A sweet potato that is cooked fresh in the microwave.

You're going to microwave it anyway... why not get a fresher product and save yourself time. Heating that hit up twice must make it dry, no?

no, paper towel won't hold in the steam.

it will soak up the juices that leak out of the holes in the potato.

    Get a scale.

Weight out amounts of food to equal 500 calories.
