So I got turned on to Stevie Ray tonight, I've heard a lot of his super popular stuff but I heard a couple tongiht by a cover band and I came home and downloaded Texas Flood and I love it. So I"m looking for more songs along that kind of line. Blues I guess, so what songs / bands do you recommend?

More specifically, blues rock ("regular" blues tends to be much slower and formulaic, not to say there isn't some really good stuff there too though).
Look for stuff like Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band (*not* his solo stuff), Jonny Lang, Mark Selby, Joe Bonamassa, just for starters.
Easily my favorite genre of music.

The Black Keys - great blues type rock. The guitarist for that band isn't nearly as talented as Stevie (but who is?). You might like em though

Try some Mayer. You'll have to be selective though, only some of his stuff comes out real nice and bluesy. I think his latest stuff is much more tasteful though.

He does a really nice cover of "Bold as Love" on his latest album, Continumm.
He does a nice cover of "Lenny" on "Any Given Thursday"

Listen to Stevie's "Riveria Paradise". real nice song.
And definatly listen to his version of "Little Wing", from "the sky is crying". It's really really powerful, and it's definatly my favourite Stevie song.
