I am looking for a Milt Sparks VM-II for the full size 1911 and short of waiting 6 months for one to be made, or ordering from the websites they linked that are out of stock, or Ebay that doesn't have any at the moment, where else can I look for private or public sale of these holsters?

They do not carry the VM-II but they do have the summer special in stock. I heard the VM-II is really what to get but I have not heard anyhting about the summer special.

Minus was nice enough to let me at least try out the Desantis cozy partner he had for the 1911 but I do not like how one side of the holster is open at the bottom.

summer special is smaller, bit narrow. not something that wraps around the body, just goes into the pants. but has good retention and has a piece of sheet metal wrapped inside the leather around the opening to keep the holster from collapsing making reholstering easier.

    1911forums.com classifieds

but be prepared to get a little price gouged. They sell for around 130-200 there in the classified section.

Yea I looked there, seems like anything that was ever posted is gone in a few minutes. I work overnights and sleep during the day and might miss a lot of stuff.

Anyone know anything about UGB Holsters? www.ubgholsters.com I was looking at the canute. Not sure if they are good or not or if anyone has heard anything about them.

Ubg makes a good holster you have the one for the glock. Look it is stamped by him. Nate is a stand up guy. He offered to remake a holster entirely for me months later because I got the wrong one by accident.

I picked up my VM2 there. I was so happy not to have to wait. They're maybe 1 hour away from me, so I had it the very next day.

not all 1911's are the same, I believe they have 5-6 diff VMII's depending on your frame

springfield for example has a smaller (width) trigger guard

I've had two Summer Special II's. One when I shot righty, and another now that I'm a lefty. I've had this latest one for almost 3 years now. It's been great. I'd like to try a VMII with all the hoopla about them, though. I want a tuckable holster for church.

Lots of stores say they have these holsters but none have anything in stock. Even ebay does not have any. I might have to look at a watch six or something.

did you call Lightningarms? They don't tend to list stock on their website, but will check if you call. I was surprised that they had several VM2s in stock for the Sig P225/P6.

I paid $225 for my VMII for my G19 and do not regret it one bit.
