I am putting together a new pc and I really could use some solid advice and opinions.... Here is my thoughts so far.

I already have this video card:

    IceQ4- Radeon HD 4850

I am currently looking at these on newegg.

    AMD Phenom 9950 2.6GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Black Edition Processor Model HD995ZXAGHBOX
    - $164.99

GIGABYTE GA-MA790GP-DS4H AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
    - $138.99

    Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM - $74.99

    G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK - Retail - $54.99

Rosewill TU-155 II 500 Black 0.8mm cold rolled steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 500W Power Supply - Retail - $64.99

Now my questions are will a 500w powersupply be enough to power this thing? Any suggestions on changing. Price is somewhat an issue BUT I can make changes, but if this is a good computer Id be happy.

I will be running vista 64

Start over and go Intel... there really isn't much of a point to go AMD anymore.

Looks fine to me, I would just go bigger on the HD (1TB+) and maybe a bigger/better power supply(i.e. corsair, seasonic, etc.).

I was planning to upgrade to a second hard drive in the future, mostly because I store back ups on externals already, id love to have all my 360 games.

    500W powersupply is fine.

Intel really does have the better processors right now over AMD. If price is very important than go with the AMD Phenom 9950, but if you can sling a couple extra bucks then a Intel Q6600 will give you equal or slightly performance to the AMD 9950. Plus the Intel motherboard would be compatible so in the future you could upgrade your processor to one of the better/newer Intel quad cores. The AMD 9950 doesn't have an upgrade path.
