I am currently rocking a 300D with a Tamron 28-75mm and I'd like to get something pretty wide. I won't need it too often, so I'm looking for something reasonably priced. I don't really need zoom either, a prime would work fine. Any recommendations?

i just ordered a 24-70 f/2.8L tonight. not exactly budget.

sold my EF-S 17-85 this morning to help pay for it.

i'd up the price range a bit more and go with the 10-22. that's what i'm going to get to cover the area below what the 24-70 covers if i don't get a fisheye.

Canon 10-22mm is by far the best in the market.
    Followed by Sigma 10-20mm.
