Being a dumbass 21 year old at the time, I bought and quickly sold a Chinese SKS that I had picked up for cheap from a co-worker. That was 7 years ago, and I am just now realizing how much I should have just held on to it. I really liked shooting that gun. Now I'm getting some more weaponry, I figure I'd like to pic another one up and play around with it. I'd love to drop cash on an AR, but I'm just not sure how much I'll shoot it at this point, so I'm going to try and start small and see how much I end up shooting rifles for fun(and some groundhogs on the property). I don't want a $700+ rifle just sitting in the closet. What I'd like to do is see if I can luck into a beater SKS for 150 or less and mod it a little. Tapco stock, sight, etc. Maybe 300-350 in it total. So, two fold here, if anyone is sitting on an SKS they want to get rid of, let me know. Also, didn't see much in the rifle thread, but anyone ever tactical an SKS, or is it a huge waste of time and money? If you got one, post some pics, I'd like to see them other than on the Tapco site. Thanks!
