I have an xti and a bunch of lenses that I can't or don't always want to take with me. Example, dinner, theme park, random hike day....

I'm looking to spend around 300 - not much more for a decent point and shoot.

I've been looking at the Canon SD series and also The Panasonic DMC-TZ3

any other suggestions? Video quality is important. Manual control isnt that big of a deal if its sharp and decent low light ...

decent low light = fuji f series. their high iso performance is almost on par with that of some dslr's.

i just got a tz3 for my parents, its not too bad. 10x optical, IS, 3" LCD wide angle to start, all in a small for factor. quality is ok, not much manual control at all (not that the SD does either)

Fuji F10 should be pretty cheap now, awesome camera, low light performance is fantastic.
