    I've said this before, and I generally find it to be true...

    In terms of watches it's as if they fall into two tiers:
    a. watches less than $500
    b. watches more than $2000

    the inbetween range is filled with crap like Movado
    Around $2k, I've always loved the Omega Speedmaster

    Not necessarily.

    You could get a Ball Engineer II for example.

    hmm..upon looking at the Steinhart site (I dont know anything about this company, so pardon my ignorance), it seems each 'style' they have is an homage to a more popular brand:

    Diver = Rolex
    Aviation = Bell + Ross
    Marine = ?
    Premium & Pilot & Nav Chrono = IWC

    They do pay homage to those other watch makers...but every watch forum I go to they get amazing reviews and some people count them in their collections of other 5000$+ watches :dunno:
