    Hey All,

I am about to launch a new website. I can handle all content creation and coding, but I could use some assistance with the design work.

I usually just pay someone on rent-a-coder to build the design part of the site for me -- but I think it would be better to engage someone who would have a passion for what the website will be about.

If I find someone of interest, I would make you a partner in one of the many LLC's I own. I would also not expect you to pay for anything -- I have ALL expenses covered with money I already make from existing websites.

    Expertise Required:
    Web Design (Required)
    Strong Graphic Design (Required)
    Photoshop (Required)
    Adobe Premier (Desirable)
    Creative Writing (Strongly Desirable)
    Literary/Grammar proficiency (Desirable)
    SEO (Desirable)
    Marketing (Desirable)
    Genetics / Biology (Optional)

I guess, for the most part, I am looking for an intelligent, witty, self motivated entrepreneur who might not have the money or complete knowledge to create his/her own business from scratch.

The site will be competing with any other site as its content will be 100% unique and is certainly not a clone of any other existing website.

The site, in a nutshell, is an online novel released chapter by chapter every week or so. The novel will come in 'parts' with each 'part' containing about 5-10 chapters. Furthermore, each part tells the story from a single characters point of view. Revenue will be generated through advertisements, donations, and merchandise.

I can provide a much more indepth overview for potential candidates.

I have already created several successfull websites and generally have a great idea of what will and will not work. You might even remember one website I advertised on OT for awhile -- 'bankroll4free' in which it took 5 hours of programming and $10,000 in funds to generate over $60,000 in profits (not all from OT -- mostly from other websites I owned).

If you want more information on websites I own or my personal expertise please PM me. A good candidate would be just as interested in what I bring to the table as I am in them.

cocaine in your user title huh? from my own personal experiences, I hope that it is not something you constantly engage in. It does not make much fiscal sense to use an expensive drug for 15-20 minutes of fun that must be constantly maintained.

I'll send you a PM with some of the things I own -- but based on your post, profile, user title, and username I am having a hard time taking you seriously.

50/50 split? How soon do you want to have this site up?

The split will depend on the skillset of the parter I take on -- if I even take one on. The development side of the site is infinitesimal when compared to the content creation side. If the partner were to also help with the content creation then I could see giving a 50/50 split.

OK, I won't hold that against you either. At least you aren't a Cowboys fan.

Texans > Jets > Colts > rest of the NFL.

The internet is such a small place that has to be me -- right? I was certainly not born in 1960 -- and that is not my account. I have smoked before though.

why bother with a partner? You are going to give away equity for something that'll run you like 1,000 bucks on a freelance site? I mean if you have so many businesses that turn a profit, surely you can afford that

    Expertise Required:
    Web Design (Required) - $500
    Strong Graphic Design (Required) $100
Creative Writing (Strongly Desirable) -$100 per 5 chapters
    SEO (Desirable) - $100
    Marketing (Desirable) - $100
    Genetics / Biology (Optional) -$100

Seriously why do you want to mess around with partners? Who you KNOW will be less interested in the site than you. Spend some money, and keep full equity and all of the profit. Make them all sign contracts that says work is 100% yours, then after you get a hundred chapters, contact a book publisher and sell them the 3-5 completed novels for profit

I always use rent-a-coder, guru.com, or other freelance sites. I want to go a different direction this time.

Oh and $100 per 5 chapters is laughable -- I pay over $100 just for editing of a single chapter. The quality you would get from a $100 per 5 chapter editor would be quite awful.

Doesn't help when in your OT profile you have a link to http://www.alteredmind.tv

I really wasn't here to try to call you out but damn dude. But anyways back to your project.

Yes -- I bankrolled alteredmind.tv (which is actually Triple J Films, Inc.) -- however it deals with legal entheogens and the goal was to provide a documentary series giving the effects and potential side effects of these drugs (think video erowid -- if this had of gotten off the ground it could have been huge!). I wouldn't expect anyone from OT to do any kind of real due diligence when trying to "call someone out".

below is a link to the script for one of the shows
    http://www.jbclark.org/eet-script.pdf

The project died after I got busy with other things and we could not find good talent for the host as well as good voice talent for the narrator.

feel free to keep trying though.
