So I had Gainward in mind and was checking out neweggs list of Gainward vidcards but it seems like all the good ones are AGP 8x. My mobo only goes up to 4x so does this mean the video card isn't compatible? Here's a link at what I had in mind - http://secure.newegg.com/app/specification.asp?item=14-128-126

Anybody have some suggestions at other cards I should look at?

Last I heard 8x cards work with 4x boards.

Should be fine, although I don't know if I'd spend the extra money on a nicer card (8X as opposed to 4X, ti4200 probably?) for a mobo that only supports 4x (and hence is older and probably you have a slower CPU too?).

Yeah it has an AMD XP1700. I do plan on building a new computer later on and using the vidcard for that computer.

I would get the 8x AGP version. I will work with your 4x motherboard now, and when you upgrade, you can take advantage of the 8x bandwidth.
