there are about 4-6 people in my house and we're all looking for a strategy game to play on LAN.

last year we all were hardcore into command and conquer kane's wrath.

we will mostly be playing on LAN (not online). 2v2, 3v3 setup is ideal.

any ideas? nothing too old, between 2001-2007 would be best, since some of our PC's can't handle the newest games.

    thanks

one thing to note is that the 2v2/3v3 games should last on average 10-20 mins (or less). i remember trying to get people into company of heroes and the games would last 45mins and everyone would lose interest.

Total Annihilation is 1999-ish and still lots of fun especially with the huge maps. If you have oldish computers you might have trouble with Supreme Commander. I loved TA but SC just had a little too much micro-managing for my taste.

There's Warzone 2100 which was OK. How about Splinter Cell mercs vs. spies?
