A&P looking for a new camera...canon 3os 10d??

    found one used for around 800 CAD
    comes with
    EOS-10D body with SIGMA 18-125mm lens

    what do you guys think the value of this combo is??

    as mentioned above the 800 is in canadian...

    also some pros and cons of this camera would be nice to hear...this is going to be my first camera that i will take on a trip with me to europe to hopefully familiarize myself with this camera enough to take some nice shots

    the rebel xt's go for around 800 cad for the body alone in my area, i can't wait for online shipping as my trip is in less than a week..

    10d is older, but still very useable. pretty boring lens, versatile, but not very good.

    the 10d has a nice body costruction and layout, better than the rebels, and has some options they don't, but you're losing out slightly on the sensor and proccessor

    10D is still a solid body.

    Something to keep in mind on a body that old is how many actuations the shutter has been through. I'm pulling this out of my ass, but I think they're rated for between 60,000 and 100,000 actuations. If you get a heavilly used body you may have to replace the shutter soon (which is costly.... maybe $200 CAN)
