I'm looking for a knife with a tanto blade, partially serrated, prefer open assist, look down upon handles with plastic, and looking to spend roughly $50

    Any ideas? TIA

CRKT M16 would be your best bet IMO, except it isnt assisted opening, but with the carson flipper its damn near as fast.

For $50 that is probably your best bet. The flipper is fast with a little practice.

A guy at work just got one (I think, I'm assuming the blur is the automatic). He showed it to me a little and it looked pretty nice :dunno: I didn't use it or anything but it was nice and sharp and automatic knives are

The Zytel is cheaper quality wise, as the normal scales are aluminum, and cheaper in price because plastic is cheaper than metal.

I dont know about everyone else but I carry it and use it all the time. Its funny when people find out I always carry a knife with me they ask the same thing, but from then on everytime I see them they always end up needing to borrow it for something.

:werd: I carry mine everywhere I go, the only time it comes out of my pocket is when I go to bed.

I carry mine all the time except when I go to bed. I use it every day at work and around the house.

I've been considering a Griptilan 551 or a Pardue 530 for a while now. But if that choice wasnt hard enough I keep thinking I could spend the $60 more and get an Osborne 943 with the better steel, anodized aluminum handles and a better design IMO.

Now that I think about it, I wouldn't mind having a good knife to carry around. TY for this thread.
