I used to use "HTML Kit" on Windows, it had the option to download and edit a page fia FTP, and then save directly to the webserver. Anything like this available for mac?

all i really want is a text-based editor. i write alot of php/sql, so what i do is write the page and then upload it to test the query or whatnot.

I'm pretty sure the new dreamweaver has a built in php processor. I just like it because it organizes the code nicely and colors it for quick viewing. I still type it out like it was notepad but I also like having code hints since my memory isn't all that great.

You can get a 30-day free demo of Dreamweaver.

Try it. I think you'll be pleasently surprised...

While Dreamweaver will do all the WYSIWYG stuff, I rarely ever used that part of it.

As far as integrated FTP, with Dreamweaver, you can have all your sites integrated into the app and synchronize your local files with the server(s) in one or two clicks.
