I messed up my back about a month ago doing military press without a belt and losing my form, and my back has just gotten better enough to use for support again. I learned my lesson and am using the gym's weight belt but I want to get my own to bring to college next week. I looked at some of the ones in the local sports store and none of them really did anything for me. I'm looking for something that'll provide support in front as well as in back, and I noticed at the store that the wide ones felt better than the thin ones, but none felt like they provided quite enough support. Also, no leather.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Elitefts.com has decent belts. I prefer my Inzer, available inzernet.com. They have the worst customer service in the history of the universe, but their products are awesome. Cardillo makes a good belt too. For the average guy, either a single prong inzer belt or a forever lever is a great investment.

:werd: a belt is not going to prevent injuries. Get your form right and work your core.

But for anyone looking for a good belt, I use the single prong from EliteFTS and I heard Inzers Lever belts are good.

I really like the valeo, 4 inch low profile belt. Lightweight, sturdy, comfortable, etc.
