Its going to go in-line before my JBL 1200.1 powering a 12W7 in a JL High Output Wedge. I cant find anything on google and I know since the box is ported, it should have a SSF set @ around 35Hz I believe. Any suggestions?

they are usually built in to amps. you're going to have to find a xover or some type of processor. check audiocontrol.

I'd spend the money on a nice low pass and then use the integrated high pass from the amp. This'll bracket the sub input very nicely at line level.

edit: The amp's crossover only functions in low pass. Scratch above suggestion. 35Hz will work. What kind of music do you listen to?

I have an eclectic taste in music, it really depends on my mood. I love good electronic music though, the pace and beat get me pumped up and going for the day.

Edit: So I should purchase a crossover and manually set it at 35Hz?

    No rap? Seal the box.

High pass at 35'ish should work but it all depends on the freq response curve for the crossover.

I do listen to rap, I said that I like to listen to all kinds of music. Everything.

As for sealing the enclosure, its a box that was designed for the 12W7 by JL engineers. Took them 5 years to design and build this box from prototype through to the final product, so I dont think ill be changing anything that they carefully engineered.

The box and port design is the main reason why it cant easily be plugged too:

The box design is odd is all. My analysis program verified the concept but tuning is paramount. Admittedly, the geometry is a bit over my head.

It is very odd, I think its a pretty revolutionary design in the way its ported. As for tuning, well every sound tech I have talked to in the past few months has said that as far as prefab boxes go, the JL HO box is by FAR the best money can buy unless you go custom. It was specifically designed for the Dub 7 and is tuned perfectly to get the absolute best SQL and SPL one can get with the W7.

it's nothing more than a slot port that vents on top and in front of the sub. but they are loud.

You can purchase an inline 20hz FMOD by Harrison Labs from www.partsexpress.com

    Simple, inline subsonic filter.
