Running Gentoo on my home server and checked some of my logs and I'm constantly getting people trying to break in. Looking for a good firewall to try and protect it. Any suggestions? Someone told me APF and BFD, although they went out of business a couple years ago. Thanks.

if you have a spare pc with a little processing power, also look at ipcop. I use it and i like it. lots of addons. however, I use a p4 proc in that machine. I tried a via epia 10000 and it was too slow and didn't really work.

I've got some old P4 3.0 ghz HT with a gig of ram. That should do. I'll take a look at it. Thanks!
