I have a small 5-year-old forum with about 1600 members with Pair.com and it has been great. They're very knowledgeable and quick when you need support. Use "REFUGEE" to get free setup. No, I'm not affiliated with them in any way.

If you plan on having a lot of users but do not wish to go with a dedicated box, I would highly recommend imountain.com. Tell them I sent you, and they may give you some type of deal. If they ask "Jesse who?" say "the guy who told you he'd lay pipe on you for telling him to put down the pipe"

Oh, and imountain is clustered hosting, which is why they can offer higher CPU usage than typical shared hosting providers. They are top notch. Hands down the best host I have ever had.

cool. their price on that 768 vps is amazing. that would cost over $100 anywhere, easily.

i cant find where it says what their connection is 10mb/s, 50, 100?
also, what panel do they install on the vps?

I'd imagine it's h-sphere since that's what's on their shared/dedi. Shoot [email protected] an email. Speeds are awesome though. Bandwidth and server. They can offer you a dedicated dual core pimp ass box for $75/month. Ask them for details about it.. they were going to hook me and Shampoo up with it, but the bandwidth wasn't enough for us. I forget the exact specs on it though.

Their goal was to sell it as a dedicated now, then eventually move a few other people onto it once they saw the strain our sites put on it. (image hosting sites) - we shitcanned the idea, but the deal was indeed insane. Hit them up and see if they would be willing to offer something similiar - [email protected]
