I am getting really bad DVD playback with windows media player and also bad audio output. I was wondering if anyone uses a good player that supports high quality playback foe ssurround as well as video.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's 2 things you could use.

http://www.cccp-project.net/ Download the entire package, (the story is this) for some strange reason windows mediaplayer classic seems to be the best or more better programs to run media on.

    Alternativly you could use http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
This is more dvd access orientated.

Everyone swears with different players, i swear on those two , they are free so if you don't like them you can always throw them away. Be sure to install the codecs from the first link tho, because they offer a wide range of support, in terms of audio and video playback.
