Well, at the moment I have a -$200 budget for a 27in tv. I found a Philips 27in with digital comb filter, component in, audio out, all the standard features for $174, and a Konika (sp?) 27in with flat screen, and basically the same options for $189. Both look nice imo, but is the flat screen worth the extra money?

Well, I bought the Philips, and I am very happy with it. I have a small apartment and no windows, just the patio door with the blinds shut, so I never have any glare problems. The color looked better on the Philips than the other, I've always been quite happy with Philips, and I am once again.
It has component in, s-video, A/V in and out, it's no HD tv, but for $170 (open box) I couldn't be happier. Oddly enough it was cheaper than a 24in Sanyo flatscreen from Walmart. :dunno:

    Just thought I'd share :)
