The owner is claiming over 535WHP and about 600BHP. It's a Z06 with a Prochager and a air to water intercooler. Is this a reiable set up? what can this car run in the 1/4? Thanks for the help..

You really need to go into alot more detail before anybody can make assumptions about what times its going to turn and how reliable its going to be. What are the "supporting mods"?

well I don't know to much except it has 60lb injectors and FPR and fuel pump. I don't know how it was tuned and what tuner did it. I don't know much about LS1s

they're easy...its' a easy platform. The rear of the engine is kinda hard towards the back but its not very difficult

No it's blue, with red and black leather. So guy wants to trade me My car for it. I just don't know if I really want that car. I never been a corvette type of guy but with this amount of power and performance I guess I could end up really liking it. I just wonder if I can commute with it. I have a 65mile one way highway commute.

I would not use a blown vette with little to no knowledge of the platform as a DD

Do you know why he's selling it? Personally, I would always be a bit weary of buying a highly-modified car. You can almost be sure it has faced a fair amount of abuse which could mean costly repair bills for the next owner.

No shit. That is NOT a smart buy. The only way you could actually afford to do that is if you were ballin and had enough money for other vehicles as well...but if the threadstarter had that kind of money, he wouldn't be buying someone else's build :o

  16. hes saying the rear of the engine is hard to work on, anything that connects back there is a pain to reach.

Find out how many lbs of boost it's on. Also, who tuned it and what modifications were made to the fuel system, etc. Also, has the motor been built for it?

With enough fuel the engine (assuming its the same 02 block that hasn't been opened) at 10.5 to 1 can handle about 6 lbs in my experience safely.

60lb injectors are pretty large for that HP, so that is good.

The advice on tuning is bang on and from experienced people. If you are concerned take it to an LSx tuner and have him make the car a little richer and pull 1 deg of timing depending on how the car is tuned. You'll probably lose 40RW if the car is aggressively tuned but you will exponentially add life to the engine.

You could do a leak down and compression test to check ring land condition? You could also do an oil analysis. If all checks out then have the car retuned to your liking.

it probabally does that on the highway. But why would you buy that kind of car only to put hundereds of miles on it per week? Buy a beater and something like this for a second car
