    Logitech MX 1000 Laser Mouse
    [IMG]

Just picked it up tonight and waiting for it to fully charge before I use it. Im sure that won't be until tomorrow, at which time i'll be messing with it more. My question is: Should I install the software it came with or the software Bolicious posted awhile back?

Use the logitech software. i tried USB Overdrive (if that is what your talking about), the logitech software is much better IMO.

except for when you drop it you have to fuck with it quite a bit to get it working again :o

haven't tried it on the ibook, just using a wired logitech with the usboverdrive software

I use mx1000 on my mac. I love everything about it but the scroll wheel, which in comparison to my mx510, feels cheap.

the only problem im having is the buttons don't do what they are supposed to. the software that came with it is a windows cd, nothing for a mac...yet I bought it at the apple store :dunno: the normal buttons work but the application switcher is the page down button, the page up button selects another app., etc.

I've been using it ever since I got my mac and absolutely love it. A suggestion, map the function of pressing down on the scroll wheel to reload pages, it's awesome, especially for ot.

ah, downloaded the control center and now everything works as I hoped it would. I did the page refresh and set my up thumb button to be dashboard, app switcher to be spotlight and bottom thumb to be expose all windows!

    MX1000 > all mice.
Throw some padsurfers on it and toss it on an icemat.
Then you'll have mousing perfection :)

The 1000 isn't a light mouse and anything more than a tiny flick sends mine flying across the pad...and probably off the desk if i let go.

The MX1000 isn't BT, but the version of it that comes with the MX5000 Mouse/KB combo is (BT 2.0 actually).

I just updated some of the button configurations: I chose to change the up cruise button to be the "home" key and the down cruise button to be the "end" key.

are you guys using this mouse on a laptop, or desktop? I picked up the MX1000 last weekend and am currently using it for my PC desktop. I'd like to use it for the powerbook, but that basestation is kinda big to carry around.
