    Poorly made?

Thats not something you usually hear about FN products. Everything I've gotten from them has been top notch as far as build quality goes.
The only thing I didn't really care for was the slide release on the FNP-9 and that was just because it was a little small.

Shit, the US military trusts FN.

well, maybe not poorly made, but it sure seems like it from the outside. i got to hold one at the range, so i didn't get to look at the internals.

There are many other people who do like them. The first one I held felt cheap and something was loose inside, but the others Ive held felt nice. I was at a local store last Saturday and they had 3 in stock, their other location had 2 and there was like 5 at the warehouse. I called back Sunday afternoon they were totally sold out.

That's the same feeling I get everytime that I pick up my dad's glock, but that doesn't make it a bad gun does it?

I own one.. and in fact the biggest selling feature was I saw someone shot with one downtown. The wound was massive! The gun may not be impressive but the ammo sure as hell is!

"Other than being able to perforate soft body armor, the 5.7 x 28 mm used in the FN P90, as well as the 4.6 x 30 mm fired from the HK MP7 cause wounds less incapacitating than those made by 9 mm FMJ fired from a pistol.

The early 5.7 x 28 mm 23 gr FMJ bullet fired by the FN P-90 had insufficient penetration for law enforcement and military use. The current 31 gr SS-190 FMJ bullet has nearly adequate penetration, but the wound resulting from this projectile has a relatively small permanent crush cavity, as well as an insignificant temporary stretch cavity. Although the 5.7 x 28 mm penetrates soft body armor, wounding potential is at best like a .22 LR or .22 Magnum. Even 9mm NATO FMJ makes a larger wound--and we are all aware of the awe inspiring incapacitation potential of M882 ball from the M9......"

    :big grin: I'll pass

When you see a direct shot to the stirnum and it cracks the entire rib cage from vibrations and the exit velocity is still relatively high, you may change your mind!

Again, its not for everyone or every situation.. But shit it works well in some

if glock made it, it wouldnt have felt like a piece of shit. and it would def. be badass.

but judging by the backfire of the 45 gap, it would have been a sad mistake for them to make anyways
