    with a 50 bmg? I think that may be a good idea. shit when I was little and my dad would take me to the range I used to do it, its nice when the guy next to you is firing a cannon :mamoru:

    i got down, took my sunglasses off, then the guy said i should put them back on because of the dust kickback, so i took my ears & hat off, put my glasses back on, put the hat back on, then fired the first shot. after the initial shock, some laughing and some "oh shits" i realized i forgot to put my muffs back on.

    ears rang for about an hour or two but since then it's been perfectly fine. i think i got lucky. :o

    well into is a huge no-no for safety reasons. Shooting over water is illegal in at least oregon, as well.

    technically, we were shooting over the range, it was just flooded. :o

    Where do you see that, like what ORS #? I don't see the problem shooting over water as long as you have a backstop :dunno:

    i turned off a tv and a light that was making some noise and i can hear em all.

    didnt try each ear though :rofl:

    I have a hard time hearing the 19k, but 18k is just fine.

    I shot the AR 3 times without hearing protection yesterday though, so that probably didn't help.
