Is that Hoss?
don't see too much wrong with the rifle stock or scope position. Some people are not stock crawlers (nose to charging handle). I myself like my head back a little. I like to have generous eye relief in my scopes, not sure if he needs to go out that far but there is nothing wrong with it.
I could do a lot of nit picking on him bench technique but that's anothor topic.
this thread was really meant to illicit a reaction from slick26, but since he signed off ----------------- FAIL
Yeah I think the rifle is fine if your into short range AR's (I consider this a 150 yard set up).
If you want to the pic to look bad ass I would say use the ill technique.
Square up your legs so your behind the rifle, not having your legs that quartered off (slightly quartered off is fine). Get feet flat on groundSlide into the table so you got your chest up against the table top. Move the front rest so that you can put the handguard on top and barricade hold off of it. Grip handguard with your thumb and index finger (index finger on top thumb on the bottom like a "c". Wrap your remaing 3 fingers up and over the backside of the front rest. clamp that grip down and it will take out a bunch of the sight wobble during recoil. Get your elbows and as much of your arms down onto the table. Bonus points for turning the hat around backwards.
i dont own an aimpoint (yet)
or any NFA (ever)
I thought hoss was moving to OR for college or something.
dont know if im gonna do that anymore
and to be technical, it would be graduate work. i'll be getting my BA in december
He can't handle the freedom.
my ACOG kicks ass, yo. im still in the process of getting my 2nd carbine how i want it
i need to take it in doses before i can commit to move.
Mom finally cutting the leash on ya?
How far back should the Aimpoint be? Maybe he was testing different setups.
Touching your cornea.
I don't like it that far back.
BTW, I was testing it in different places... that was my first time ever shooting the damn thing.
Yes, that's a picture of me.
