Went out to eat near the mall tonight, and saw the fountain by one of the main entrances was still lit up........so got the tripod and camera out of the truck and went over and took some pics. I didn't get all the shots I wanted, since security came and informed me to leave about 5 minutes into taking the pictures.

Anyways, here is what I got. I will go back and get more of what I was looking to get out of it later. FWIW the mall is Southpointe Mall in Durham, NC.

    I think they're bit overexposed, but overall, I like'em.

you either had the shutter open way too long or the lights were extremely bright because they came out very over exposed. I love fountain photos by the way.

Really cool shots, but like others have said, a little overexposed.

lights are overexposed, and the statues are under exposed. Best thing to do in a situation like this is meter one shot for the fountains, take the shot, then, meter one shot for the statue and layer them in photoshop.

Yup, the lights were extremely bright in the water......and of course there was no good lighting for the statues themselves.

That was my plan, but thanks to the rent-a-cops I had to leave. I have emailed the director of the mall, and if given permission will go back with a letter from him. :wavey:
