For the past 2-3 months I've been lifting 4 days a week, Cheast/Arms then Legs/Back seperated by a day of running (sprints, bleachers, etc). I'm going to need to start cutting serious weight to down for wrestling season (195 to 177) so I was going to start doing long-distance running every day or every other day . By that, I mean 4-6 miles or so. That's pretty much what I've done in-season in the past to cut weight.

Do you guys know what kind of effect distance running will have on my lifting, and if there's a certain time of day that's more suitable, ie. lift in the morning then run at night or vice versa?

Also, along with a pretty balenced diet I do they whey shakes and creatine, what kind of effect would my running have on their effectivness?

    Thanks

Running would help lose a lot of fat, assuming you keep up a decent heart rate. Diet is by far the most important aspect to your prospective weight loss.
