I watch the videos by Rocketboom and the one episode is about Lomography.
A really laid back care free type of photography where you capture just about anything and you can get tons of really cool effects.

Since most of you are really involved in photography I was wondering if any of you take part in this style?

I really want to get a camera of some kind so that I can start doing this style. It's really crafty and inspiring.

According to the internet gods, lomography or anything like it is for hipsters and thus nobody here will admit to liking it.

    Wirelessly posted via wap.offtopic.com (Opera/9.80 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.2.13918/1428; U; en) Presto/2.2.0)

Lomography is like ricing out an econobox. Looks kind of fun, but in the end it's a waste of time and resources.

Much classier indeed. But $50 compared to $300 and you can develop 35mm anywhere. Its cool for lo-fi

That store overcharges the SHIT out of everything. I went there during a class trip last semester and I was laughing inside. I could see myself shooting with them but I dont have the patience for film

Yeah... the place looks cool but the prices seem outrageous. Especially for it being analog. I'll consider getting something though. It looks really appealing.

This is the sort of stuff I usually take pictures of:

Hit up ebay for a cheap old cam like a lubitel, you'll get lomo images from a cam with controls etc and for the same price as a holga.. or less.
