What made you choose the 749?

That's awesome. I didn't realize the Dark came with a gold frame. Did the previous owner have a steering damper on it?
As far as overall power is concerned, how obvious is the difference?

    It didn't.

    Nop.

Compared to my zx10r? Power is OBVIOUS. This thing gets a lot of looks and it's definitely fast, but my ninja was obviously stronger; 1000 vs. 750? :mamoru:

Very nice bike. If he wanted ZX-10 power, 1198s would have been the bike of choice.
But I like the way this one looks. Very sharp bike.

How do you find the 749 corners compared to your 10R? I definitely found it a little more 'stubborn' at first compared to my R1.

Fucking beautiful bike though, I've had my eye on the 1198S for a while now, but the '09 R1 is making it a tough decision :)

It takes a lot of getting used to. I was accustomed to just throwing my zx10r into corners, I feel I have to ride the rear more with this one.

Have you tried raising the forks in the triple clamps? That'll make a huge difference.

Try it. Just don't overdo it otherwise you'll get headshake at higher speeds unless it has a steering dampener.

That was my polite way of asking, "why did you do that?". I don't know if I could step down. :o
    Definitely a sharp bike.
